The NemEsys-Nematode Parasite Extraction Machine is one of many successful design projects completed for the Moredun Research Institute (MRI) in 2009. The product has now been completed and shipped to the end client in Australia.
The equipment has progressed through systematic and logical concept development and prototyping stages resulting in an ergonomically designed piece of lab equipment that will harvest the damaging nematode parasite that resides in the stomach lining of sheep. The process developed works through a process of mixing, filtration and drainage.
Due to the complexity of working in the Life Sciences industry, on-site research was integral to the creation of a fully functional system.
