Engineering Inverness

4c Design has expanded to include 4c Engineering, Inverness.

I’m delighted to announce that 4c has expanded through the establishment of 4c Engineering in the Scottish Highlands of Inverness. The team in Inverness will double the capacity of the 4c offering, allowing us to take on larger projects adding an enhanced depth of engineering and technology development skills. 4c Engineering is based in Inverness and headed up by Simon Grey and Jude Monson who previously led wave power technology developer AWS Ocean Energy.

4c and AWS have been working closely since 2009 and when the AWS management decided to establish a new engineering consultancy to make use of the skills of their talented team, it made sense to do this under the 4c brand. The new company 4c Engineering now offers engineering and technology development services to the renewables industry with a focus on marine energy and hydropower. Their skill-set compliments that of 4c Design, being focussed on the follow-on engineering delivery and technology qualification stages.

The 4c Design and 4c Engineering relationship has developed through a common respect for complimentary company cultures, both teams are passionate about innovation, engineering and entrepreneurship in Scotland and it is these synergies that have underpinned the partnership. 4c Engineering provide a complementary skillset that increases the breadth and depth of resource we can place on projects allowing us to do more than ever before.
