Hi, my names Rob and I have recently started the summer internship programme here at 4c Design.

Graduating in 2013 with a degree in Product & Transportation Design, from the University of Northumbria, I spent almost 2 years working on the design and development of Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles (WAVs).

I have a strong interest in products and services that truly benefit the user/consumer. Speaking with users throughout a project is something that I find particularly interesting. As it is often these conversations that lead to solutions and ideas that would have previously not been considered.

Outside of the studio I enjoy mountain biking, climbing and a variety of sports, in particular cricket and table tennis.

Why 4c?

Keen to broaden my design horizon, the internship programme at 4c appealed on so many levels. Having the opportunity to work within a consultancy environment is something that I am truly grateful for and aim to learn a great deal from.

In the short time I have been at 4c; I have already had the chance to work on a couple of live projects, familiarise myself with 4c and start a project that will last the duration of the internship, which will help to expand my portfolio.

The team have been very welcoming and I’m very much looking forward to the next couple of months here in Glasgow.
