Our business is product design & development, so we are excited that Scottish Enterprise is offering a helping hand to companies trying to do just that. Their new By Design grant contributes up to £5000 to help the design of new products, processes or services.
Who is it for?
VAT registered companies in Scotland (excluding the Highlands and Islands). If you’re not VAT registered then check out SE’s other services or Bright Idea Scotland for support with early stage innovation ideas. The Highlands and Islands region is covered by Highlands and Islands Enterprise who have a separate set of business support services.
What can the grant be used for?
Design of new products, improvement of existing products, hiring a designer, updating branding & packaging for new market opportunities, customer research, hiring experts to write design briefs, developing a more user-friendly approach to product development, hiring an expert to help you use design more effectively in your business, expert advice & feasibility studies.
At 4c, we’ve been designing ground-breaking and successful products for clients since 2002 and can support companies with any or all of the tasks listed above. If you’re interested in working with us on a By Design grant application, or simply interested in finding out about how our design, engineering and prototyping capabilities can support your product development, please get in touch today.
